Heather Reed
Owner and director, has been dancing and teaching for well over 20 years.
Her dance education ranges from lessons in tap, jazz, ballet, tumbling and baton at a private studio since the age of 8 to working with and taking master classes with many dance legends including, the late Tap Master Al Gilbert, Studio Owner, choreographer and entrepreneur Daryl Retter, Ballet diva Janice Barringer, children’s movement specialist Becca Retter and Miss Puffie and Hip Hop superstar Brad Taylor.
Heather has trained and performed with the Lansing Community College Performing Arts, competed at several regional and National dance competitions including nationally acclaimed Showstoppers and has performed in numerous community events.
Heather is an avid scrapbooker, loves to garden, read, downhill ski, snowmobile, go boating, canoeing and cook for and with family and friends. Heather has a beautiful 9 year old daughter whom she homeschools and was recently married to husband Mike Reed who was her high school sweetheart.

Miss Leah
Leah has danced at Heather’s Dance Company for 7 years. She has been to various dance competitions, placing 1st or TOP 1st each time. In 2006, Leah performed at Disney World and attended a special class taught by Disney professional instructors. To further prepare for teaching dance, Leah attended workshops with Daryl Retter, Janice Barringer; and children’s teachers Joan Lather [Miss Puffie] and Becca Retter.
Leah plays the flute in her school’s band and enjoys playing softball. At home, Leah has 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She loves going on mission trips and spending time with kids, her friends, and her family.

Miss Hannah
Miss Hannah’s favorite style of dance is LYRICAL and BALLET! She has been dancing for 10 years all of them at HDC. She is also a competitor at several regional dance competitions placing first in her groups category. She has graduated as a homeschooled student and has enjoyed participating in 4H and Homeschoolers 4 Life (a pro-life group). She also enjoys being a part of the Ultimate Frisbee team, being in her church choir, playing piano and doing all sorts of volunteer work. She plans to attend LCC for two years then finish at Aquinas College with a major in Elementary Education.
